Keith/Larson Duo

Leanna Keith, Flute | Zachary Larson, Guitar

The Keith/Larson Duo aims to explore and expand the horizons of the flute and guitar world through the commission and performance of new works and unique original arrangements. They have performed across the United States, in Canada, and have been featured artists at several music festivals and concert series. Their repertoire puts a focus on the 20th Century, newly commissioned works, and orchestral arrangements such as Capriccio Espagnol, Op. 34 by Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov. For their first recording, Dawn Till Dusk, the Duo collaborated with visual artist Justin "Pensive" Gilbreath. The recording features stunning cover art by Gilbreath and beautiful music by Christopher Caliendo, Joaquín Rodrigo, and Toru Takemitsu. The Duo has commissioned several new works by emerging composers of their generation, including Daniel Sabra, Sarah Perske, Kevin Baldwin, Phill Smith, Elizabeth Kennedy-Bayer, and Stephen Bailey for a performance project entitled "New Music - New Horizons" which has been concertized in several major U.S. cities.
